Pieces of Her is a self-portrait that explores fragmentation, identity, and the complicated relationship between what is lost and what remains. Portions of the artist's face disappear within a field of broken glass, blurring the boundary between portrait and fracture. The missing features create an absence within the image, suggesting the parts of ourselves that can become obscured, altered, or seemingly lost through lived experience.

Yet the portrait remains recognizable. The broken glass does not simply represent damage; it becomes part of the image itself—each fragment contributing to a new understanding of the whole.

Pieces of Her asks whether being changed or fragmented makes us incomplete, or whether the pieces that remain—and even the spaces where something once existed—can become part of who we are becoming.
