Say it With Me 'I Am An Artist'
Becoming an Artist can seem overwhelming and daunting at times but I wanted to let you in on a secret - You are an artist. If you want to be an artist, chances are you already are. In my humble opinion I feel that we are born as artist. For example, as kids we all draw and doodle and experiment with colors.
Now the great Picasso said it best
"All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."
So with that in mind we all were born as artist. So your concern shouldn't be how to become an artist, it should be how to claim my artistry. How do you claim your artist? First step is by saying you are an artist not just in your head but say it with me out loud I AM AN ARTIST. Say it again. I Am An Artist.
That is the first step. Now for some that may be easy to do but I found for a lot of new artist and especially myself when I first started off it was difficult. Someone would ask me what do I do for a living and I often times would shy away from claiming my artistry. However, if you want to be an artist the first step in being successful artist is claiming it! I AM AN ARTIST.

So inspiring. I must admit your constant iteration of that has definitely inspired me to tap back into my creativity in many different ways. We all have different forms of artistry and to not have any artistic outlet at all is really unfortunate. So I love this mantra that you always promote for us to always remember. I’ve been getting back into sketching a little bit lately too and its been super calming. For a living I’m a program manager — something that has nothing to do with art lol.
